HoneyPool Active Jarrah Honey is gathered from pristine Jarrah forests, to the southwest of Perth near the town of Dwellingup, Western Australia. Flowering just every two years, the cream-coloured Jarrah blossom yields a rich medium to dark amber coloured honey that is lower in glucose than other honey varieties, with a deep and complex flavour.
Premium grade Jarrah Honey is highly prised for its high TA (Total Activity) properties. Research by the Australian Government has found that the levels of antibacterial activity in Jarrah honey is higher than that of Manuka honey and its effectiveness as a natural treatment for wounds, burns, sunburn, skin infections, skin repair, coughs and colds, and combats the bacteria that cause stomach ulcers.
