Bees draw comb on plastic foundation far more willingly once it carries a fresh coat of beeswax, but brushing or rolling wax on by hand soon becomes a bottleneck when you are fitting out frames by the hundred. The two machines here are built for sideliners and commercial operators who recoat foundation in bulk rather than a box at a time.

Our Plastic Foundation Wax Coating Machine is stainless steel, with a thermostatically controlled 3.9 litre wax bath and adjustable rotation speed. It runs on single-phase 220V 50Hz power, drawing 25W for the motor and 300W for the bath. For larger sheds, the German-quality Beeswax Spray System pairs a Vario hot wax spray gun with a 12 litre stainless steel pressure tank under digital temperature control, a heated 7.5m hose and a heated gun head, so wax can be sprayed in any direction. Wax can stay in the system between sessions with no rinsing, and a compressed air regulator sets tank and atomising pressure, so plan for an air supply.
